How to delete all comments in a PowerPoint presentation
Review comments travel with the file and anyone who opens it can read them in the Comments pane. To remove all of them at once, use Review, Delete, then Delete All Comments in This Presentation, or the Comments option in the Document Inspector on Windows.
From the Review tab
- Open the Review tab.
- Select the arrow under or next to Delete in the Comments group.
- Choose Delete All Comments in This Presentation and confirm.
- Open the Comments pane to check that nothing is left.
With the Document Inspector (Windows)
- Go to File, Info, Check for Issues, Inspect Document.
- Keep Comments ticked and select Inspect.
- Select Remove All next to Comments.
What the manual way misses
- It is easy to forget comments on hidden slides, because you never scroll to those slides.
- Comments are only one place where internal discussion hides. Speaker notes and hidden objects often hold the same kind of text.
